Bird rings (All) – findings
Subcategories
Bird ringing has been carried out for more than 100 years. Ornithologists use this method to monitor the movements of birds in nature. If you find a bird ring, you must first find out what type it is. Ornithological rings are always openable (attached by pressing) and have a code stamped on them that describes the bird.
If you find such a ring, please send information describing the location and circumstances of the find to the following address:

Breeding rings (pigeons, poultry, etc.) are solid, mostly plastic with embossing outside. These do not have a serious telling value and do not need to be reported.
