15. 5. 2020 Jewellery from the Migration of Nations

A gold ring and a buckle from the period of the Migration of Peoples were discovered in Rakovník by two brothers working with archaeologists. The jewellery is inlaid with Bohemian garnets. They are currently on display in the museum as part of a new exhibition.

Return to Bull Rock

Return to Bull Rock is the main and unique event in the celebration of 150 years since the discovery of Jindřich Wankel in Bull Rock. Its aim is to popularize archaeology and scientific activity and research in a popular form using experimental techniques.

Exhibition "Great Moravian Mikulčice virtually"

Modern 21st century technologies are playing an increasingly important role in archaeology and other historical disciplines. They give archaeology the unique opportunity to examine objects from locations inaccessible in the real world, to go back in time virtually or to view and analyse the finest details on recovered artefacts. This is clearly demonstrated by the exhibition "Great Moravian Mikulčice virtually", held between 24 August and 31 December. October 2022 by the Institute of Archaeology of the CAS, Brno, in its modern research base in Mikulčice

Exhibition of the oldest jewellery and body ornaments

An interesting exhibition was prepared by the Moravian Museum in Brno. Visitors can see the oldest jewellery and body ornaments. Original Palaeolithic artefacts, mainly from the Gravetian and Magdalenian periods, will be on display.
