The two rare Viking coins were discovered with a metal detector by Brian Morton, then a forty-three-year-old full-time carer. Experts say the coins are linked to a Viking raid on a nearby monastery. They are the first coins of their kind found in Northern Ireland.

The builder Richard Mason of Lindisfarne (an island off the coast of north-east England) discovered a collection of gold and silver coins. They were in a jar hidden in the cellar. One of the coins depicts Clement VIII, who refused to annul Henry VIII's marriage to Catherine of Aragon in the sixteenth century.

Four years ago, a gentleman and his son went for a walk in Ostrava-Hulváky and discovered a treasure. It was nearly a hundred silver coins. According to experts, someone probably hid the coins during the riots in the seventeenth century.

The reward of 108 thousand crowns was given to the forester who found the treasure near Ujčov in the Žďár region. Specifically, he discovered a jug of 284 coins. He preserved it in an exemplary manner and handed it over to the Museum of the Highlands in Jihlava. The region decided to receive 80,000 more than it is legally entitled to.

Archaeologists uncovered the ceramic vessel buried in the ground five years ago in the Přerov region. It contained three thousand-year-old bronze objects. These included, for example, circular jewellery or a so-called phalera made of bronze sheet with richly wrought decoration.

A man who found a treasure in his garden in Čeliv, Benešov region, behaved in an exemplary manner. The damaged ceramic vessel and its surroundings contained 583 coins minted between 1350 and 1455. The 90-year-old senior dug up the depot right in front of the onion.
