Editorial Metal Detector Test C.Scope CS6MXi

The long-awaited C.Scope CS6MXi appeared on the market in early December. Since then we have been testing the detector intensively and I have to say that we enjoy it a lot. The detector has shown itself in the best light and has far exceeded everything we expected from it. Since we are literally bombarded by searchers every day asking for more information, we asked other colleagues to help us with the test this time. Also included is a video that was intended to serve as part of the instructional DVD. Unfortunately, with -9°C, the camera was out of focus at times, so we decided to release the usable material freely.

The mystery of the Baghdad batteries

It happened in 1938 during the works in Khujut Rab. Just outside Baghdad. Here, German archaeologist Wilhelm Konig recovered a five-inch-long (13cm) clay vessel containing a copper cylinder that encased an iron wire. The vessel showed signs of corrosion and initial tests indicated the presence of an acidic agent. Probably wine or wine vinegar.

Metal Detector Minelab E-Trac - Six Month Test by Treasure Hunter

So we have completed six months of testing of the Minelab E-trac metal detector. During the test I took many notes and consulted many times with the searchers who use the detector. Although I think I have mastered the detector, I certainly wouldn't say I can set it up 100% in all locations in those 6 months.

Metal detector Tesoro EuroSabre II six-month test

But this year's long winter has changed my plans quite a bit, and I've also found a great liking for the detector, so I've started testing a number of details that I don't usually follow in the detector tests on Treasure Hunter.

Since 25.4.2010 we have started a complete test of the Minelab E-Trac metal detector on the treasure hunter. The length of the test will again be at least 3 months, so in the meantime you can at least download the product evaluation sheet from Minelab testers in PDF format.

Tejón - The latest metal detector from Tesoro

I started doing the test of the metal detector Tesoro Tejón, in mid-January. The device has thus experienced searching in frosts around - 10 C. Although the optimal working temperature of the detector is from 0 to 40 °C, the Tejón survived without any problems. During the test I used all commonly available probes and tried to test as many different soil conditions and search targets as possible. In this test, you will find perhaps the most complete summary of everything that you can encounter when searching with this detector.
