Treasures from museum collections

Dear external collaborators - detector searchers,

I am addressing you in connection with the exhibition we are currently preparing. It is the exhibition "Treasures from Museum Collections" (poster attached below, opening 28.1.2022), where each curator has a space to present new and interesting acquisitions from his/her sub-collection.

This applies to archaeology as well, so I decided to finally fulfill my big rest and display at least a selection of the beautiful metallic finds that you have been bringing to the museum for many years. At the same time, the exhibition will include information about the meaning of detector surveys and the possibility of cooperation within the AMCR-PAS system. Don't expect anything spectacular, I only have a limited space and 3 display cases for finds, so I will try to pick the best. However, I cannot put labels with the name of the particular finder next to each find - metallic findsThe metallic finds are quite small and putting a label for each one would take too much space and make the display cases completely unclear. What I can do, however, is to publish a list of the museum's external collaborators who have contributed their finds to our collection. It would only be in the form of name - residence (Jindřich Krejčí, Líbeznice), of course only for those who agree to such a presentation.

So I ask you to consider whether you want to be published and to tell me by the end of this week, I have to produce the list for printing on Monday.

At the same time, I ask you to extend this invitation to your fellow searchers to whom it has nom mail, but you know that in the past they have, for example, forwarded finds to the museum through you and have not been in direct contact with me. Anyone who would like to be published in the exhibition should feel free to contact me.
