Director of the NM Náprstek Museum and long-time collaborator of the museum Mgr. Zdenek Šámal will introduce you to his archaeological findings in his lecture.s findings from prospecting in Rakovník, which have significantly advanced our knowledge of the region over the last 15 years. His systematic work has yielded exceptional artefacts from a number of sites, the stories behind which are perfect for the subject of a literary work. However, Zdeněk Šámal used one of them - an early medieval lead amulet from the Dřevíč hill fort - as a motif for the comic book The Curse of ... Another of his unique finds - a gold ring with a memento mori motif from the Rakovník battlefield in 1620 - gave the title to the whole lecture: Remember Death.
