Immerse yourself in the military history of Přeštice! From 21 September 2024 to 5 January 2025, the House of the History of Přeštice will present the exhibition "Přeštičtí dragouni or I the Little Hussar". The exhibition offers a look at the period from 1780 to 1890, when Přeštice hosted Habsburg cavalry and permanent military garrisons. Thanks to the collections of seven museums under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, you can admire period uniforms, weapons and other artefacts.
For history buffs and metal detectorists, there is a unique opportunity to get a glimpse of military life at that time, which may inspire furtherresearch or search on battlefields and old military campsites.
