New software for Rutus Versa and Atrex detectors

Metal detector manufacturer Rutus has come up with a quite unique solution for software playback of its Rutus Atrex and Versa detectors. As the only manufacturer, you do not need a data cable to update the software, so you can use your mobile phone to upload the new software and update the software directly in the field.

The Rutus Versa and Atrex detectors have an integrated Wi-Fi module, so the detector is updated wirelessly, which is a unique solution in this field. If you like to test the detectors in more detail, it is now possible to switch between the different software versions directly in the field during testing.

IMPORTANT: Disconnect the coil before updating the detector SW. After updating the SW, turn off the detector, connect the coil and turn on the detector.

Changes to Versa NC 3.7 software

• The detection options for very weak targets (ID < 25) in Multi Frequency have been changed, especially under old ceramics and bricks.
• The Small Target Boost algorithm has been modified to work more universally.
• The Caps filter is available in every program.
• The Graph ID algorithm has been modified to be more readable for iron objects.
• A display contrast adjustment feature has been added.

Changes in Atrex Multi Frequency 3.4 software

Atrex now works with new algorithms that have improved detection performance.

• Better discrimination quality
• Better readability of deep signals from small non-ferrous objects
• Better detection performance for low conductors in highly mineralised soil
• the ferrous object identification chart is more readable

Changes in the detector menu:

• Masking function is no longer available.
• Small Target Boost function has been introduced instead of the Multifilter function.
• The Multifilter algorithm itself is present in the detector and has been improved).
