New coils Detech Ultimate for Garrett Apex

Detech has started to produce 3 additional probes for the new Garrett Apex series detectors. All three are from their top of the line Ultimate series and fit the detector perfectly. The reason is also that the basic Apex probe is quite narrow - separating and in that case the increase in depth for a round 2D is much more interesting.

We tested the probes in Jílové in basically ideal conditions (low mineralization, no iron). Zero setting, multifrequency, sensitivity one part below maximum. So we cannot guarantee these ranges in a heavily mineralized site full of iron. On the other hand, the conditions were the same for all probes.

Even from the above table you can see what is determined by the construction of the ultimatums. As the size of the object increases, the difference in range also increases. For larger objects it can easily be greater than the manufacturer's stated 30%.

S.E.F ULTIMATE 23cm for Garrett Apex series

The probe has very impressive properties despite its smaller size of 23 cm. With excellent separation properties it still achieves more than 10% increase in range over the standard Viper probe on most small targets. For larger targets the increase in depth is even more significant. As with the larger reels, the manufacturing is of the highest standard and it has to be said that when you pick this reel up you will fall in love at first sight.

The probe can definitely be recommended for iron infested locations, but where you are trying to maximize your reach. It's quiet and has a very low microphonics. The probe is waterproof, the coil weight is 436g including the cap, 398g without the cap. These values are measured by us but may vary by units of grams depending on manufacture.

S.E.F ULTIMATE 29cm Probe for Garrett Apex Series

The probe uses all the technology of the Detech Ultimate and the workmanship is of the highest standard. Compared to a standard reel there is a depth increase of 10-15% on small targets and over 20% on larger targets. The probe has a very quiet operation and has a very robust construction.

The weight of the reel is 592g including the cap, 490g without the cap. These values are measured by us and may vary by units of grams depending on manufacture. Due to its sub-30cm size, it can also be used as a replacement for a standard reel with significantly better range.

S.E.F ULTIMATE 33cm Probe for Garrett Ace Apex Series

The probe uses all the technology of the Detech Ultimate and the workmanship is of the highest standard. Compared to a standard reel there is a depth increase of approximately 25% on small targets and over 30% on larger targets.

Technical description

Construction - the probe is made of high quality polymer, reinforced with fiberglass (it's a really proven construction and very durable at low weight of the reel). The body of the coil is thus highly resistant to both temperature shocks and UV.

Resistance to electromagnetic interference - the construction of the coil has increased resistance to interference in the environment (transmitters, fences, GSM, etc.)
