Minelab introduces a software update for the X-TERRA PRO with a new feature that improves EMI suppression.
WHAT'S NEW?
Continuous automatic measurement of the interference suppression function: Press and hold the Accept/Reject button with the "Interference Cancellation" option selected. in the setup menu, the "Interference Cancellation" function will continuously start until you release the button. Longer ambient interference measurement times will provide the detector with more information and thus improve results in challenging locations with a high number of interference sources.

Minimum System Requirements:
- USB 2.0 port
- X-TERRA PRO USB charging cable with magnetic connector
Windows 10
- 50 MB of hard drive space
MAC OPERATING SYSTEM
- More than 10.15
- 85 MB of hard disk space
Notes:
- Only one X-TERRA PRO device can be connected to the computer during the upgrade.
- X-TERRA PRO must be turned on during the software update.
- All user settings of the detector will be preserved during the update.
- An internet connection is required to download the Minelab Update Utility to a computer; however, an internet connection is not required to update the X-TERRA PRO and can be done offline.
- To perform the update, the coil must be connected to the detector
- Important: Before starting the update, make sure the USB magnetic cable is securely connected between the computer and the detector. The X-TERRA PRO with the USB magnetic cable connected should be placed on a stable surface and not handled during the update. This could prevent the magnetic connector from bumping, which could result in the update failing. Ensure that the magnetic connector contacts are clean, dry and free of debris. Make sure the magnetic connector is seated properly.
Do not turn off or disconnect the detector during the update process.
Peter and I have tested the update with our X-Terra PRO and it runs smoothly. I recommend you test the function with a rough interference source 😊
