MINELAB EQUINOX 700 | 900 SOFTWARE UPGRADE

Minelab presents a software update for the EQUINOX 700 and 900 with new features.

WHAT'S NEW?

1. Enhanced separation features:Enjoy improved separation with the new Iron Bias setting 'down to -1'. This further advances the unmasking of colored targets and gives users the ability to aggressively set up in areas with high amounts of iron
2. Continuous automatic measurement of interference suppression:Press and holdthe Accept/Reject button with the "Interference Cancellation" option selected. in the setup menu, the "Interference Suppression" function will be continuously triggered until the button is released. Longer ambient interference measurement times will provide the detector with more information and thus improve results in challenging locations with a high number of interference sources.
3. General stability improvements:Small changes to address specific use cases, if you do not move in such locations no changes will register.

Minimum system requirements:

USB 2.0 port
EQUINOX USB charging cable with magnetic connector

Windows 10

50 MB of hard drive space

MAC OS (10.15 or later)

85 MB of hard drive space

Notes:

• Only one EQUINOX 700|900 can be connected to the computer during the upgrade.
• The EQUINOX 700|900 must be powered on during the software update.
• All user settings of the detector will be preserved during the update.
• An internet connection is required to download the MINELAB Update Utility to the computer; however, an internet connection is not required to update the EQUINOX 700|900 and can be done offline.
• The EQUINOX coil must be connected to perform the update.
• Important: Before starting the update, make sure that the USB magnetic cable is securely connected between the computer and the detector. Make sure the magnetic connector contacts are clean, dry and free of debris. Make sure the magnetic connector is seated properly.

Do not turn off or disconnect the EQUINOX 700|900 during the update process.

Peter and I tested the update on our EQ 900 today. Everything works as it should. But we will need to go somewhere other than the Jílové area to properly test the Iron Bias setting to -1. :)
