The second year of the Living History festival deals with the culture of the first centuries AD in Bohemia and popularizes the Germanic tribe of the Markomans, whose homeland is believed to be in Bohemia.
You can look forward to the following programme items, which are based on last year's edition: Camp life of the ancient Germanic people, guided tour of the Markoman Nature Trail with an archaeologist, personal duels of the GermanicGermanic warriors, a demonstration of the warriors' armour and equipment, as well as the fashion and jewellery of Germanic girls and women.
New this year, however, is the arrival of a Roman merchant with a retinue of protectors. You will have the opportunity to judge what made the barbarians so attracted to Roman products.
The festival will end with a theatre and battle scene. Will the Roman come out of it alive and well?
