How it went on the beach with Pilot

I would like to thank everyone who came to the event and I hope you had a great time. It was good to see old friends after two years of no events and to chat without the cloak and dagger.
On the Friday before the event, Zukloš and I tried to clean the beach and prepare the polygon as much as possible. Unfortunately, due to the heavy overcast, we had a lot of play and the sensitivity of the detectors had to be reduced by a quarter in some places.
Our handy wives assisted us in preparing the polygon and our kids also tried to help us. It was causing me a bit of heightened nervousness, screaming and fits of despair. The situation was not made any easier by Zukloš, who refused to dig the polygon at the designated spot and ran off to look 100 meters away. And again the screaming and despair. According to Zuklos, I'm irritable.
Eventually, through a combination of cajoling, a well-chosen YouTube channel called Masha and the Bear, and throwing rocks at the ducks, I and the others managed to bury and mark the designated targets. The unannounced race between us and the kids to see if we could bury it faster than they could dig it up was narrowly won by the adults.
The targets are marked in the ground with coloured crosses. I hope they don't steal here or I'll get hit on Saturday.
On Saturday, Zuklos and I leave our wives and children at home and together with Elmara we prepare the background of the event. The stand Minelab, which has shrunk a bit after washing and is a bit smaller than its construction, is going to be a real pain. We have to use force.
About 20-25 people will arrive during the morning, the vast majority with Equinox 600/800, a few Vanquish, GM4, ORX and Deus. Those who wanted to got to mess around on the polygon under the supervision of Elmara, who really worked some individuals.
There were 17 people entered in the squares race, the goal was 5 pieces of lead coins, so called. Obols.
The final time was measured. The prize for the winner was a Minelab Vanquish 540 Pro Pack. The search was in a 5x5 meter square, so it looked easy, but still some individuals struggled a bit 😊.
In the end after a close fight Milan Abraham won with a time of 3 minutes, Kudos to the winners 😊
A close second was Jarda Rattay, who detected the last horse in a time of 2m 40, but then he pushed it with his tracking leg and then knelt on it, the final time of 3,38 was only enough for second place.
Modrey also bravely fought off the horses and was not stopped by the empty battery of his Nox.
At the end there was a so-called Pilot's draw, where the winner of the Minelab Pro Find 15 was drawn from all registered participants. And because the gods have a sense of humor, the new owner of the spotting scope was Jan Mattis - Magor, who was last in the race in the square 😊.
That's it, packing up, saying goodbye, having a quiet beer, Zukloš takes his waders and goes for the gold. Nobody sniffed out my target in the polygon and that's a nice end to today's sunny day 😊
