Greetings to all treasure hunters and past

It's been a month since I've been walking around with my new Zero II 30 and I wanted to share my beginnings and some small experiences that probably won't be appreciated by the greasers. I have considered a detector in the past but finances didn't allow it. All of a sudden I saw an ad for some kit (probably bounty) for something like 6k.
I was intrigued by the price, so I started looking into it and found out it was the basic version. Not that it doesn't work, it doesn't, but the range is supposedly weaker and the smaller things deeper I'll go over. It said everywhere, buy a detector with a 2D probe or you'll miss a lot of stuff. So again, looking for a detector with a 2D probe. But there was already a price somewhere else.
I discovered the LP site and suddenly I read everywhere, buy zero and you won't be fooled .I looked at the basic one with a 23cm probe (it was 600 cheaper), but after a phone call with Mr Mlejnsky, I found out that the 30cm probe is already a depth probe, so it picks up more and deeper. I couldn't find anything in that price range, so I waited to see what it would be. The decision was made, I ordered and waited for it to arrive.

Immediately after delivery, I went out to search the river bank where people go swimming. I turn on the detector on the embankment and listen, still humming, tighten the coil and still humming. Then I realize, dumbass, you're probably standing on reinforced concrete. I walk onto the grass and as the paint vibrates, it's like there's still something in front of me and I can't trace it, after a minute I'm in the picture- dude you're wearing steel-toed paws. Anyway, I walk a bit more with the detector pulled out in front of me as far as I can as if I'm afraid of it and first paint. I'll go around and kick. According to the videos, I try breaking the sod into pieces and running over the spool and in every bit of dirt I paint- dumbass take off your snood and watch. Or we're walking across a field and suddenly there's a tingling, splashing and stuff, I say to my daughter, there's probably some mineralized soil or something, let's keep going. When we walked back, I was enjoying the landscape and what I didn't see- dude there were high tension wires above you (when I'm looking I'm looking into the ground)
It's just for a laugh ;-D what a layman can do.
Friends of the crap I dug up around the water ;-D (lids, cans, wrappers). This is not the way.

I started to find out the contacts of the JZDs in charge of the fields in the area. Within an hour (although I couldn't find anything on the net), I was connected directly to the "director", who was very helpful. I told him everything straight out and after a 5 minute call I was allowed to search all the fields in the area that fall under them. Off to the nearest field with my daughter and within an hour about 3 coins from the Franta Pepa One days.
All dead but the excitement was huge. Immediately the first problem arose, which I consulted Mr. Mlejnsky about5. The larger iron, deeper in the ground, was echoing in a high pitched tone. Why?
Because the bigger irons have more conductivity, I think, which is why they beep like paint. I read somewhere that this can be detected by pumping over the target.
I tried it and it really works, I even found that I can just kick the sod and when I get lower, the paint with the iron echoes, so I know I don't have to dig any further. This is true in the field where I'm looking for coins, in the woods of course I dig everything left over from tractor battles I don't want. And like there's one in every field. The deepest copper coin I dug was about 30cm, which I think is good.

Then different kinds of high notes:

Weak, double tone, strong, with splash, with reverb, all can be responded to over time.
Weak usually means a small target or deep, dual tone usually means tinfoil, with sizzle usually spit, with reverb either larger iron or cartridge cases and so on.
Everything can be responded to, it's really just a matter of ear training. After about two weeks of walking around the field, I got them all fitted, so we headed into the woods.




Versus the field where it's piping all the time, suddenly nothing for maybe an hour. By then my daughter wasn't giving much and was getting bored. So I bought a marska and she can at least keep track. In the woods I found that the iron things, compared to the colored ones, missed searching by 10-15cm. I don't know what it is, I guess it takes practice, but I know what to do, I'll try the tracker and dig. I'm sure there's some trick to targeting iron as well, sometimes I'll get an accurate shot, but I don't worry about it anymore. My daughter and I even found a buried treasure for future generations ;-)

It is a great pity that water got into the main jar and ruined the letter.
We know that the younger one was Kuba and the older one was probably Misha (I only read Misha on the paper)

And I did a lot of searching at home too: old maps, internet links, etc. More like outside with a detector. Well, and cleaning afterwards, that's actually all searching and trying new things too. It's a lot, but the time spent outdoors for the kids is priceless. My daughter is finally not just sitting in front of the TV or tablet, but learning things about our past in the fresh air. Hopefully soon my younger son will start enjoying it too and we'll all get out.
So for me, the LP zero II 30 is a good choice. I haven't tried another detector so I can't compare yet, but it meets my expectations of a detector perfectly. At the end I add photos of everything we found, from iron to paint to natural materials ;-)

Probably the only thing I miss in the detector is some support under the batteries, where the detector is placed, so that it does not lie directly on the batteries, there is a cover for it, but then again you can not connect the headphones. I'll have to figure something out.
