Finally something

Wednesday, I arrive at work and find there's not much to do. I'm packing up and heading out into the field. I choose the opposite part of the woods that I've been walking the last couple of days. I trudge for an hour or so to where I want to walk. I'm surrounded by mushroom pickers, on all sides, trying to disappear into the shadows, when suddenly there's a signal. A little stronger, but a classic stretched out "tin can" signal. I say to myself clear Branch :D and start to mine it from under a rock and a root. I'm digging in the hole when more than once I hear that lovely sound of the old bronze clinking against the stone. No no, I can get into the hole and the tip of a small spear sticks out at me. Joy great, I aim, take a photo and without much hope try the spotters - it goes. Maybe some more rivets to attach, I think to myself...I rake and pull the bracelet. That's when the adrenaline kicks in and I'm not far from a seizure :) ...I aim, take pictures and after testing the tracker, which is still running, I finish the excavation and connect with the archaeologists. Pickup is arranged for the next day. The event with the girls from the museum was great, the objects from the set exceeded my expectations and I again fulfilled several other search metrics. Personally, I was probably most pleased with the luxury glass bead...well enjoy it, it was something :)

The set included: a small spear, a few pieces of bracelet, a corded earring, a bundle of wire, tiny rings, springs, fragments (of a headband, necklace?) of wrought iron with embellishments and clasps, a button and two pieces of glass beads.
