Celtic open-air museum Nasavrky
The Celts were master craftsmen. Experience how they made pottery, worked wood, wove cloth, cast bronze jewellery, forged iron or minted coins. On Saturday evening you can also enjoy a concert by the bands VRBA and VALAR.
And which days can you look forward to which craft?
WEDNESDAY: Textiles (Sheep shearing; wool and linen processing; thread spinning; felting; weaving; dyeing)
+ Ceramics (kiln firing; demonstrations of handmade pottery; lecture on the history of the pottery craft; workshop for children)
THURSDAY: Ceramics (kiln cooling; demonstration of pottery making on the potter's wheel; lecture on the potter's craft; demonstration of processing and a lecture on its use before and today; workshop for children and adults - processing of grease; removal of products from the kiln.)
FRIDAY: Metals: Casting bronze objects, minting pewter coins; demonstrations of blacksmithing; workshops for children - pewter coinage and gold panning.
SATURDAY: Metals: Casting bronze objects; pewter coinage; casting silver replicas of Celtic coins; experimental iron smelting, demonstrations of blacksmith's work; workshops for children - minting tin coins and gold panning.
SUNDAY: Metals: Casting bronze objects; pewter coinage; casting silver replicas of Celtic coins; Dismantling the furnace and processing iron sponge; workshops for children - minting pewter coins and gold panning.
