Bounty Hunter Time Ranger Pro - instructional video and first impressions

Where to start? Under the brand name Bounty Hunter ES (exclusive edition), a detector this good has never been made. Whether weTimer Ranger Procompared to the Gold, Platinum, Titanium or the Lone Star Pro, Quick Draw Pro and Land Ranger Pro, these detectors are literally in your pocket. So BHčka has its new flagship.

The detector fits nicely in the hand, the audio response is nice too. Especially the VCO mode is very hilarious and gives the user a clear indication of the size and depth of the stored object. The only criticism of the design is the length, so traditionally with all detectors from First Texas. For a 198 cm figure it is just a hair shorter than it needs to be.

Operation is simple and there is no need to worry about any tricky things. You just need to look at how to adjust what. Since many searchers traditionally don't read the instructions, we also made a short instructional video for everyone. Anyone should be able to handle it.

We have tested a number of targets with the detector and it is beautifully sensitive. Especially for small gold and silver targets, the higher operating frequency of 19 kHz is evident and the Time Ranger is capable of to take thicker gold chains, which is definitely not usual at this price and up to 12.500 CZK are other such detectors like saffron.

As already mentioned, the operation is simple, basically you just need to follow a few rules:

1. V Break - the place where the iron and paint break. I think the factory setting is 50/50. Which is not quite right when looking for low-resistance targets. You probably won't dig almost any iron then, but you can easily cross a number of very nice signals. Our/my setup would be max iron to 35. Since we have consulted the setup with other guys who go F19, I can also recommend setting the iron ID level to 42 in coke-ridden locations. Of course, a lower setting means you can occasionally "hack" and look at some iron. It won't be very often and it's definitely worth it.
2. Iron volume settings - Time Ranger Pro has interestingly done iron volume and volume controls. The scale from 1 to 20 works in two ways right away. From 1 to 10 you adjust the iron volume and color level simultaneously. 1 is the lowest setting and 10 is the loudest. But from number 11 onwards, the control works differently. The "color" volume is at maximum, but the iron volume changes, with 11 being the lowest iron volume and 20 meaning the iron is as loud as the color targets. All together this works very well and is a useful feature which allows you to still walk around without any discrimination and set the iron signals to the background so they don't interfere.

The overall impression of the detector is great and the price/quality ratio here is definitely very interesting. Personally, I think that the best users for the Time Ranger are prospectors who focus on finding coins, regardless of location. If I were walking some clear woods, I'd probably still get a larger round coil, like the Detech Ultimate or Nel Tornado.

Even with a very well made VCO, you'll feel very comfortable with the detector even in very iron polluted locations. The basic 28 cm 2D coil is already proven from many other top models and has a very decent ratio between depth range and separation properties. In addition, the probe has undergone minimal slight improvements on the underside.
