Literally madness erupted eleven years ago in Slovakia after meteorite fragments fell near the village of Bretka. At that time, searchers with metal detectors flocked there in order to take at least a small piece home.
The meteorite fell at night and frightened much of eastern Slovakia. There was rumor at the time that the place was guarded by firefighters so that no one could get there. However, the local commander denied this information. At that time, the event attracted experts from the Astronomical Institute, who were called by the locals.
The people of Brittany told what the rumble and glow was when the meteorite hit the ground. Drahomír Chochol from the Astronomical Institute stated at the time that the body exploded at about 11.20 pm above the Earth and was about the size of a soccer ball.
He also said that in such cases, no larger fragments can be expected to fall to the ground. "They will measure half an inch to a centimeter. In addition, we do not know if anything fell to the ground at all. And if so, whether in Slovakia, Poland or Ukraine. We have no exact location or direction. We only know that it exploded somewhere over Slovakia, but we don't know exactly where, "said an expert from the Astronomical Institute at the time.
Unfortunately, at the time of the fall, most of the European car network was not in operation due to bad weather, so there was very little data obtained. However, astronomers eventually found some fragments. The meteorite otherwise burned in the atmosphere and illuminated the sky within a few hundred meters. Experts discussed the fall in more detail at the end of March 2010.
The largest piece found by the staff of the Astronomical Institute weighed over two kilograms and had a dark gray bar. "Compared to other stones that are commonly found, it was relatively heavy," outlined Marek Husárik from the Astronomical Institute.
He also talked about the falls of meteorites in Slovakia, which took place earlier in the past. According to Husárik, this is a relatively common phenomenon, but it is not easy to notice. So far, they have had information on five in Slovakia. The last find came from 1994 in the village of Rumová.
Part of the findings of fragments from the meteorite, which landed in the village of Bretka, went to analysis. Experts wanted to find out its composition. Larger fragments ended up in museums in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. "Instead of the impact, it helped us identify videos from Hungary," Husárik concluded.

To Lucky: to takto hezké opravdu není, byla ta taková špindíra maličká :) Ale někde to tady na LP je, byla to klubová akce s Ondřejovem. Tudíž to najdeš :)
Já tě nevim kolego, ale myslím, že se v tomto případě jedná o meteorit Košice, který spadl u Vyšného Klátova 14 dní předtím 28.2.2010 a média o tomto informovaly s jistým zpožděním.
Nad obcí Bretka ho možná mohli jen pozorovat, ale nezdá se mi, že by spadly na Slovensko dva meteority s odstupem dvou týdnů, jeden do Klátova 28.2 a druhý do Bretky 14.3.

Dohledávali jsme s klukama s Ondřejova dopadové pole bolidu Benešov a já to trefil. Bylo to hezký a kamínek byl pořádné UFO. Pár konferencí pak proběhlo na téma zda vůbec může být reálný. Ale nakonec se našel podobný někde v Africe tak jim to uznali.
Bohužel toho tady spadne málo, jinak by se podobné akce dělali častěji. V Ondřejove prostě sedí parta, kteří se tak trochu modlí, aby občas přiletělo něco pořádného

Každopádně, až budou jejich motlidby vyslyšeny, nás ani je to už zajímat nebude 
Tam záleží na každém metru.. 100 metrů hezká šou, kilometr velký problém... 10km.. možná tady bude vládnout jiný druh, 100km ...život začně od bakterií.....
