In connection with Adolf Hitler and his death, another mystery emerged in 2009. Nick Bellantoni examined a skull fragment that is being kept as Hitler's remains in Moscow. He claims it belonged to a woman.

Nine years ago, Bohuslav Veselý found a suitcase in the garden of his house containing items belonging to General František Moravec. The suitcase with uniforms and a sabre was buried on the property by a friend of his family. The general fled from the Nazis to England.

The remains of the original German inhabitants were buried near Deštné. It was speculated that they were murdered at the end of World War II. But their exact identities have not been established.

In 2016, archaeologists discovered a legendary tunnel dug by Jews during the Holocaust in the hope of escaping the Nazis. It is located in the forests near the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.

Forty-five-year-old man discovered the body of a dead soldier from World War II in the woods near Oldřišov in the Opava region eight years ago. Police officers, technicians and an expert from the Archaeological Institute in Opava immediately went to the site.

Eight years ago, the public was able to see Benito Mussolini's secret bunker for the first time, at least through photographs. He had it built under his Rome headquarters in the Palazzo Venezia during World War II.

2. 5. 2019 The RAF pilot was buried after 74 years

After more than seventy years, Ensign John Henry Coates' relatives were finally able to bury his body. An RAF pilot was shot down during one of the missions in Italy. Archaeologists have found his remains with a damaged Spitfire plane near Venice.

Seven years ago, the Hradec Králové regional forensic scientists focused on an area that historical sources and witnesses describe as the site of the mass grave of five Germans shot in June 1945. It was located in the village of Rudník in the Trutnov region.
