New treasures of the Spanish galleon 366 years after the sinking

In 1656, the Spanish ship Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas (Our Lady of Wonders) was wrecked on the west side of Little Bahama Bank about 70 km off the coast. Luftwaffe pilot's watch on sale for 200,000

The military watch, worn by soldiers in the German Luftwaffe during the Second World War, was discovered by a family in Coventry while sorting through their late father's possessions. The watch will be auctioned in August for more than 7,000 British pounds, or just over 200,000 crowns.

During World War II, a wealthy Prussian family buried a treasure in the woods to escape the Nazis. The beautiful plates, cutlery and candlesticks were auctioned off 11 years ago. The artefacts were expected to sell for £15,000. They were discovered by the son of the original owner.

On the streets of post-war Berlin, a Holocaust survivor traded a gold plate for a pack of cigarettes. It later turned out to be a rare artefact from a museum worth £6.6 million. But the woman's family can keep the item.

Thirty years ago I was digging up a war plane near Mariánské Lázně. The aim was to find out what kind of machine it was and who was its pilot. We succeeded.

4. 11. 2009 War plane near Belotín

The downed war plane and the remains of the pilot were pulled out of the ground by the workers of the Suchdol museum twelve years ago. The wreckage was located in a field between Bělotín and Lučice in Hranice. The aircraft belonged to the 224th Battle Division of the 8th Air Army and was tasked with supporting the fighting Red Army.
