Workers who repaired the attic of a house in Champagne, France, remained nine years old. Suddenly, gold coins began to fall on them. In the end, there were 497 of them and their value was estimated at almost one million dollars.

March 18, 1937 A cracked pot hid a silver treasure

Hundreds of years ago, someone buried a clay pot behind the fortifications of the Žatec fort. It was full of silver and gold jewelry and coins. In 1937, a digger named Weigert found this treasure. The depot weighed a total of 2.7 kilograms.

A depot of 1,146 silver denarii was found twelve years ago by a metal detector, Keith Bennett, in South Warwickshire. A year later, archaeologists tried to find out who hid the Roman coins.

The Iron Age gold treasure found near Stirling by a search engine with a metal detector was sold for almost one million pounds ten years ago. The finder got half. The depot contained four golden Celtic necklaces.

Twelve years ago, coins found by a builder in Oxfordshire were for sale. He discovered 59 pieces of mintings from the reign of King James I of England. Their value was estimated by experts at fifty thousand pounds.

A remarkable discovery was made four years ago by the English piano tuner Martin Backhouse. Inside one of these musical instruments he found a real treasure, 900 gold coins.

20.2.2014 Did the searcher find the legendary treasure of the Nibelungs?

An archaeology enthusiast found a real treasure from the Late Antiquity in Germany seven years ago. It consisted of gold and silver jewellery, but also other precious objects. Speculation began to swirl as to whether this was the legendary treasure of the Nibelungs.

A life finding, what does that mean?

Everyone probably imagines a treasure or at least something luxurious. Gold, silver, jewelry, or lots of war or unique artifacts. And that word "unique" accurately describes my find from November 2017.

Many of the Gold Rush-era coins were discovered in early 2014 by a couple in California while walking their dog. The treasure was hidden in rusted cans. Experts estimated its value at more than ten million dollars.

In 2014, four schoolchildren found a rare gold pin that was only recently declared a treasure by the coroner. Only around ten similar pieces of jewellery have been found in the UK.
