11.3. 1509 Ludvík Jagellonský became King of Bohemia

Louis of Jagiellon is described as one of the weakest monarchs. He died at the age of just 20, drowned in a swamp. He was crowned King of Bohemia on 11 March 1509.

The circumstances of the death of diplomat and foreign minister Jan Masaryk remain shrouded in mystery to this day. His lifeless body was found on 10 March 1918 in the courtyard of the Czernin Palace.

He founded the Jagiellonian family, which ruled the Czech throne for 55 years. The Grand Duke of Lithuania, Vladislav II. Jagello is considered by historians as a strong ruler. He became King of Poland on 4 March 1386.

1.3.1899 Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski is born

He gave the first impetus to the creation of the concentration camp at Auschwitz. He had civilians murdered on purpose to inflate the statistics on enemy casualties. He also participated in the Night of the Long Knives. Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski, who was born on 1 March 1899, successfully avoided the courts for many years.

29.2.1920 Czechoslovakia adopted the first Constitution

One hundred years have passed since the adoption of the first Czechoslovak Constitution. It was formally in force until 1948, when the Communists came to power. President Masaryk insisted on greater powers for the head of state. He didn't just want to lay wreaths.

28.2. 1954 Prime Minister Rudofl Beran died

He was an excellent speaker and knew how to win people over. Rudolf Beran worked his way up to Prime Minister. Although he actively supported the union, after the war he was made a traitor and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He died in Leopoldov prison on February 28, 1954.

She was not a well-known noblewoman, not even her likeness has survived. According to historical sources, she tortured and murdered servants.

26.2.1361 King Wenceslas IV of Bohemia is born.

He did not have a happy childhood, his father Charles IV. initiated him into the duties of a ruler from a young age. He traveled abroad with him and worked his way up to the throne. Václav IV was crowned King of Bohemia even as a two-year-old boy, born on 26 February 1361.
