A friendly meeting of archaeologists and detectorists on the border of the Brno and Znojmo departments with lectures and joint search under the supervision of archaeologists from South Moravia and the Vysočina region.
The biggest exhibition event of the Písek Museum in this summer season will present the latest archaeological findings from the Older Iron Age (800 BC). AD to the turn of the century). The objects will be set in the everyday life of the inhabitants of that time, and emphasis will also be placed on their symbolic meaning. The exhibition will be full of small archaeological stories, while visitors will also get a glimpse under the hood of archaeologists and understand the methods of contemporary multidisciplinary research.

On Saturday 28th May, the first year of the Living History Festival Markomania will take place at the Pičhora site near Dobřichov (Kolín district). The story of one tribe, which will deal with the culture of the first centuries AD in Bohemia.
This year's season in the Pavlov Archaeopark will be enriched by a unique exhibition of a prominent representative of scientific illustration. He is a graphic designer and art teacher, academic painter Pavel Dvorský. Visitors will have the opportunity to see dozens of his original drawings, which were created in collaboration with prominent archaeologists and anthropologists.
The lecture will focus on one specific component of archaeological findings - archaeobotany. Plant macrofossils, i.e. the remains of parts of crops that people in the past grew, consumed, processed, or plants that that were found in the vicinity of their settlements, are a rich source of information about the everyday life of people in the past.
