Workers found a treasure in the shaft of one of the townhouses in Polička in 1968. It contains a total of twelve thousand Silesian coins. The town of Polička tried for years to get it from the East Bohemian Museum in Pardubice. Finally, it succeeded.

An interesting find was made five years ago at a site in Znojmo where a garage was planned. It was a giant iron boiler from the tenth century. Its capacity was seventy to one hundred litres. It was preserved in its entirety.

The unique grave was discovered four years ago by archaeologists in Vyškov. A woman was buried there, holding a baby close to her. The grave was located in an industrial zone and dates back to the Bronze Age.

Jewellery worth many millions of dollars from the 19th and 20th centuries was found in 1994 during the construction works in the courtyard of today's headquarters of the Sokolov Museum. It included a gold watch with a chain, brooches with diamonds, bracelets and a headband.

A jug in the shape of a treasure box containing 537 silver and gold coins was found in 1962 near the Januštice stream. A gold ducat was lying at the very top of the jar. The coins date from the 16th and 17th centuries.
