May 1, 2000 A pensioner found 1,658 silver coins

A 70-year-old pensioner from Kysuc, Slovakia, found a real treasure in his garden in 2000. He discovered a clay pot containing 1658 coins. The oldest comes from the reign of Matthias Corvinus.

April 29, 2004 Cannibals lived in Moravia

The ancestors of today's inhabitants of eastern Moravia ate human flesh. Archaeologists who found evidence in Chmelín came up with such a discovery seventeen years ago. It is a place located next to the main road to Zlín in the place where the northeastern part of the Otrokovice bypass connects to it.

April 28, 2015 Haná Stonehenge

Archaeologists came across an interesting place in 2015 near Brodek in the Prostějov region, where the construction of a roundabout and a new exit and entrance from the R46 expressway was being prepared. They discovered a cult place, which was immediately called Haná Stonehenge.

April 24, 2014 Bodies of executed Germans

Seven years ago, the Hradec Králové regional forensic scientists focused on an area that historical sources and witnesses describe as the site of the mass grave of five Germans shot in June 1945. It was located in the village of Rudník in the Trutnov region.

April 23, 2011 Ruined German fighter

The torso of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, which crashed in August 1944, was discovered ten years ago near Deštná in the Jindřichův Hradec region. It was located under a layer of clay. According to historians, it was a unique find.

April 22, 2007 A student found a 3,300-year-old treasure

A treasure of incalculable value was discovered fourteen years ago by a student from Mladá Boleslav. The depot contained four bronze axes and eight gold spirals. Adam Kohout found the objects with a metal detector.

Apr 21, 2016 Boskovice treasure

At least 2267 coins contained Boskovice's treasure. This is the part that has been traced back. The depot discovered a search engine with a metal detector, which, however, concealed the finding and only ended up in crime with its ears worn. Five years ago, the coin could be viewed by the public in Mikulov.

18. 4.2010 Tomb of a Celtic girl near Lochovice

During the research, archaeologists discovered four prehistoric settlements in U Lochovic in the Beroun region eleven years ago. They also managed to uncover the remains of a Celtic girl who was buried in a wooden coffin and with beautiful jewelry.
